Transmission Questions

I have a 99 Tahoe,(350/4L60-E, 2 door) and just drove from northern VA to NY and back. On the return trip, the trans did not want to downshift when more throttle was applied. In fact, if the accelerator was pushed a little harder, the engine would stall... RPM's would not climb at all. At times, there also seemed to be a slight clunk while driving from the driveline. With very light acceleration, it would pick up speed. Pulling away from a stop, it seemed to shift fine, until you tied to accelerate to hard, and again it would seem to "stall". Fluid levels are fine, no burnt smell. I have approximately 91K miles. The only other thing I noticed is the few times (previous to the trip) it seemed to downshift several gears when I stepped on it... and seemed to "lurch" forward and then shift.

I have a factory service manual and am reading it for additional information and troubleshooting, but just wondered if anyone else has had a similar experience. Thanks in advance!

I had similar problems with the 4L60E. Email these people with problems, they probably have a kit to fix it. The fix for mine was a transgo shifft kit, 4 hours for install and she ZOOOOOOOOOOOOOMMMMMSSSSSS!!!!!! She will also snap you neck if you push on the gas to hard from a stop.
