What is going on in Southern California?!?!

With the recent storms the Snow level has dropped to 3000 feet!!!

 

I looked up at the mountain tops at work and noticed this

 

so what better to do than investigate....

 

 

traveling up Interstate 5, just 5 miles south of Pyramid Lake (if any of you are familiar with the area)

 

btw, this Interstate was closed for a day in a half due to the unexpected anounts of snow

 

 

 

 

 

well after checking out the ride from the freeway, next thing to do is test out my new truck in the snow

I wish the snow level can drop to 1000 ft ... that will make things even more interesting.

When I lived in LA (just north of Glendale) we got snow once or twice that lasted overnight. Now that I am in WI it is no longer "fun" and in fact we are in for like 10" (according to some reports) of it over the next 24-36 hrs)...

All the snow we've had around Northern CA is AWESOME! We hadn't had any like this for a while! The rain paid itself off with a good coating of the white stuff though!
