4l80E Problems

I have a 1993 Chevy 3/4 ton with a tranny problem.

Last week it left me on the road. Tranny wouldn't shift in to any gear at all.

Pulled the pan the other night and there is no iron in it or no major damage from the underside?

Any ideas why it doesn't work? You put it in Drive and nothing hapens.

ANy help would be greatly apreciated.

When you were driving did it pop out of gear and then wouldn't work no matter which gear you placed the shifter in? If that is the case shut the truck off and start it and see if it works and goes into gear. I had a similar problem with my 91 3/4 ton Sub and it ended up being one of the transmission shift modules. :)

Turns out it could very well be related to the Ignition. There is a relay that controlls the electronics in the Tranny and can get week and go out and cause this same condition. I tried what you recomended and that didn't work either. Have a friend that works for a local Chevy dealer and he said to try this. We'll see..

:D:confused:
