Recline passenger seat further?

I have a 2002 GMC Yukon XL SLE with the power seats and manual recline. The recline only goes back a short ways, not even 45 degrees. Is there an easy way to make it recline more? There is room for it to recline more, but it stops part way. Other vehicles I have or had reclined to 180 degrees.

Pshaw...The kids should be tied up and under a blanket in the back. Makes for a quiet ride, and with the added weight over the rear axle...Better traction. :sigh:

Seriously though, if you find out...I'd like to know if it can be done as well. I hate the fact that mine don't recline all the way either.

The answer is No. It is not a safety issue either, er..well at least not directly. The recliner mechanisms are very similiar between the power and the manual, so you can end that thought. These seats are known as a split-frame structure...meaning the cushion moves independently from the seat back. Also, the recliner mechanism is single-sided and is ABTS (all belts to seat). The moral of the story is you cannot change the recliner mechanism due to the seat structure dictating the max recline angle.

Sorry for the lengthy version of "NO".
