Cab Lights

Too cool! You 3500 guys (and gals) have it too easy! I've wanted the cab lights for awhile but finally just said "What the hey, I can't wait to win the lottery." Cabela"s had 'em for $59.95 and $7.95 shipping. They're made by Pacer and look to be excellent quality. The only snag I hit was hooking up power to them. I was going by instructions I found on this forum. It was close but maybe there were model differences. Anyway the instructions I had read practically led me right to the right hookup. This forum rocks!

Here's the lights I put on my Truck. I also, put a LED Light Stripe under the tailgate from a 3500.

Hi, I have 02 2500HD and I was wondering what was basic steps on putting on the cab lights and was there templates to install lights in correct position?

Fantastic. Definitely one of the first mods that I did to my '03 Z71 which I did a couple of weeks back on my '05! Every truck enthusiast needs roof marker lights. grinnn Go drill them holes!!!!

No template. You just measure the lights from a dealer's truck. You gotta be a little creative to get it exactly right. Take your time.

Other steps involve removing the visors, center roof console, sissy-bar.... then drop the roof liner a bit at the front. You also remove the A-pillar trip so you can snake the power wire down.

Other techniques include using masking tape where you are drilling your holes so you can pick up the metal filings.

Do a search on this board for PACER and you'll find several years' worth of messages on this topic. Lots of folks here have done it.
