Hey,

What do you folks think about putting some tube steps on the truck pictured below? I don't know if they would look good with the chrome rockers. If I do I would like some oval tube steps that sit high and tight. Nothing else looks worse than the "low" tube steps on a 4x4. What brand of tube steps? Any other suggestions. Thanks. :wtf:

I put the stainless step bars on my crew cab to save the leather seat edges and help the wife and kids get in. They are not much for protection though. Just the one spot where it turns out on the front. As for cleanup they are junk collectors. If you live in a snowy climate like I do you are constantly knocking the snow and ice off of them. It builds up between the rocker panels and the bars themselves. The same goes for mud. I usually polish them every once on a while too. Stainless tends to look blemished after a while. If you want the shiny look make sure you go with stainless or chrome plated stainless. If you go with chrome plated steel the salt and sand will find a weak spot and the chrome plating will start to peel off. If you use them for access, yes, I would recomend a set. If you want them for looks, no, I would not.

If you got the extra money for them...I would go ahead and get them.

I just ordered a set of High Polished Stainless for my '04 Sierra Extended cab Z71.

I can't wait to get them in...I've been searching junk yards, local shops and ended up

buying them from TruckStoreUSA.com.

If you do get them...post a pic and let us see how they look and I'll do the same.
