Navi and CDX

Hey all - gonna be installing the '05 Navigation touchscreen radio and CDX in my truck in a couple of weeks. Has anyone had any strange operation from their Nav radios in a Silverado since they system wasn't originally designed with the Silverado in mind? I figure the network in a Silverado is just about identical to that in a Tahoe but just wanted to be sure.

 

Also, where did you mount the GPS antenna?

The navi will work great and will not cause any problems. I did that upgrade to my 04 Silverado.

The GPS antenna goes on a dash brace behind the headunit and under the dash pad near the middle defroster vent.

When getting your TRN make sure you get the right one for the Bose system you have.
