tinted windows for Avalanche

wanted to find out what are you avalanche owners are paying to have your front windows tinted. I am within the next few weeks planning to have my front windows tinted to match the rear window tint.

I have an appointment to have my windows tinted tomorrow morning. It costs 25 per window. So $50 bucks for the driver and passenger windows. I am also going to get a 6 inch stripe across the front window. $15 for the stripe. The side windows cannot be tinted as dark as the back windows due to the laws in Tennessee. I am going to have 35% tint put on the driver and passenger windows. Apparantly you can have anything you want on the front window as long as it doesn`t go below the white lines on the front window, which is about 6 inches down. I am going to have 5% put up there for a sunvisor.

Check with you local tint shop and see what the laws are in your state.

Check mine out.   I had the tint shop match mine to the back.  They are illegal ( the shop made me pay cash) but They are not as dark as limo tint.  I haven't had any problems with the police.  It is so hot here in the summer ,  everyone does it.  It helped my A/C tremendously!!  I like the reduction in glare also. They cost $75 for both front windows, which was high, but this guy does work.  Check out my pics at:

I would asume the factory tint on the AV is the same as the silverado

 

the guy put on 15% on the side windows (paid $75 cash no recipt) I think 20% would have been a better match but it looks nice and is visualy inpentrible eaven in the full sun

 

it realy does keep the cab cooler  

 

 

the factory stuf is a bit browner than the aftermarket wile shopping u might want to look for some slightly more amber tint instead of the regular blue/black u cannot tell from the outside but from the inside there is a slight tone diffrence
