Whats the difference between a 1500 Z71 and a 1500 Z66?? Thanks!

Z71 is off road package has skid plates bigger shocks bigger wheels

Z66 is premium ride has traction assit and self level shocks bigger tires

They are on different ends of the suspension configuration.

If you are crusing the highways than Z66 if you are off road Z71

Z66 is a suspension package optional on the 2WD 1500 Avalances.

It includes; Specially tuned springs and shocks,P265/70R17 all-season touring tires,17-inch six-lug aluminum wheels,Electronic Traction Assist and Automatic locking rear differential.

This option is also known as the "Premium On-Road" suspension package.

There has been a GM ad for the Silverado Z85. Looks like a 2wd Silverado with 20" wheels street suspension and the Z85 stickers.

I have a Z85 in my RPO codes but I have a 4x4. I think Z85 is just the HD suspension and towing package.

RPO Z85 is suppose to be the heavy duty suspension package. The tow package is RPO Z82. Z85 is suppose to be the standard suspension on 4x4 and available on 2wd. There are a few of these with the "Z85" appearance package at the local dealership. They are 2wd trucks with the 20" wheels, chromed step bars and a sticker on the flanks that look like the Z71 stickers but have Silverado where the Z71's have Off Road. I'll see if I can snap a pic of one of these tomorrow.

I have seen a Silverado 1500 with Z66 emblems on it in the parking garage at my work. I'll have to stop and ask the guy sometime what he's got. I thought the Z66 was only on the avalanches as well until I saw this one.

You can buy any emblems to stick on your truck. Chevrolet has never made a Z66 Silverado that I know of.

I have yet to see a Z85 Silverado, but I have seen plenty of Sierras like that.

What did the Z66 sticker look like? Some of the decladded Avys have the Z66 stickers, but they are the Avy style.

That is a different sticker from the ones I have seen on Sierras. It must be a dealer thing, not from the factory.

Yep,Its a dealer thing.GM has never put a "Z85" or "Z66" decals on any pickup at all.

Just the "Z66" on Avalances and of course the "Z71" decals on pickups when equipped with it.

If you look at the picture again you'll see a little sticker to the right of the main sticker,Us dealers must add these when we add on items such as pinstripes, wheels or bedliners,Its required by federal law.
