I.D. this part!!!

Hey guys,

 

my father in-law is a former chevy dealer who is selling some old parts that collected over the years. He came across these, but needs to know what they are/what vehicle they were on. Can't exactly sell a part unless you know what it is

 

Don't know if it's from a truck or car/el camino. We DO know that it's for a chevy.

they look like the ends and middles for a luggage rack on wagons I've seen in the past.. from around the 70's but thats just my guess..

 

don't see no bars/tubes that go through them but thats what they make me think of. don't really look big enough for bed rails.. unless they are for a El..

Almost looks like turn signal indicaters that mount on the front finders that face you, so when then signal is on they flash to show you they are on. not like these days, on your dash. do they have lights on the back or a hole where one could be

Thanks for all the replies. We felt the same way you did about them being bed rails or luggage tie-downs.

 

We still need to figure out what specific vehicle they were for.

What is the inside diameter of the openings? that might help eliminate possibliities

They look like the deer chasers you put on your bumpers, does your dad have any body parts for a 70 truck?

My guess is being that they are 90 degrees (straight up) I would figure they are bed rails for a truck. If they were for a wagon they would most likely have a slight angle to offset the angle of the roof.
