Replacing Delco stereo w/ Bose?

Recommended Posts

Posted

I have a 1996 GMC Sierra with the Delco radio/tape and aux single CD.

I have acquired a stock GM Bose head unit. It is the exact same unit phyically, and has the same connections. I know I will need a Bose amp, what I need to know is what wiring harness's/connectors will I need to make this work? Is there a harness that goes from the head unit to the amp and then to the speakers?

Any suggestions?

Thanks

It would cheaper to replace it all with aftermarket.

Would sound a whole lot better than Bose as well.

But if you're stuck on getting Bose in there, it's going to be a long and hard road unless you can find an entire setup on Ebay.

My '04 has the Bose radio and it's certainly nothing to brag about. You can't even select "rock, pop, etc. modes that are available on the "cheaper" radio. I'd just scrap that Bose and install aftermarket. I'm positive that you will a whole lot happier.
