Ses light came on today P0430

Light came on today and I took the truck to Autozone. Light came on about 10 minutes after my gas gauge went to empty and then back to full after I closed my door. Autozone shows a P0430 and the man there said it was most likely a O2 sensor. The little print out they gave me says "The pcm has determined that the catalyst system efficiency for bank 2 is below threshold for the current engine operating conditions."

 

2001 ecsb 4.3l with 60k miles

 

any help sure would be appreciated.

A catalyst system efficiency would mean the Catalytic converter is shot I would think. A scanner will say 02 sensor voltage low if the sensor is bad. At least in my experience.

Thanks for the help. I took it to chevy today and they replaced the y pipe with both converters.
