seafoam with a 2003

Put it in the gas tank. Being that there is no actual fuel running in the intake, you shouldn't need to clean that.

The intake still gets covered with carbon, as does the throttle body, especially with the way that the GENIII motors consume oil through the PCV system.

Teal, I'm not sure how you could do it alone besides just letting it in slowly so it doesn't stall. I guess that if you had a TechII or something similar you could activate the throttle motor and raise the idle.

bob, Seafoam is a sort of fuel system treatment often used as a top end cleaner (much like GM Top End Cleaner). When used properly (induced into the engine through the brake booster or PCV hose), it will clean the intake, combustion chambers and valves. Some folks also use it as an oil system cleaner. You can buy it at Napa.
