Wish List for 2007 Silverado

My wish list for the 2007 Silverado (or Cheyenne if they call it that)

 

- Regular Cab with a small cab "extension" like the new Ford

 

- Base engine: 3.5 I-6 with 280 hp, 280 lb-ft

 

- Base V8 engine: 4.8 liter with 300 hp, 340 lb-ft

 

- Upgrade V8 engine: 6.0 liter with 400 hp, 400 lb-ft

 

- Solid front axle (Dana 44) option on half-ton 4x4

 

- 5-speed automatics and 6-speed manual options across the line

 

- Bring back the composite bed option

 

- Bring back 4-wheel disk brakes

 

- Start development on a diesel I-6 or V-6 for use in half-ton trucks for 2010 or so

 

 

Does anyone have any news yet if these kinds of things will be reality?
