Coolant Light

Before going on a short trip to florida Monday morning, I checked to make sure all fluids were ok....Truck had been sitting all night,and coolant resivoir was at the full mark...While traveling that morning the coolant light came on so I pulled over but the level was still ok...Anyone know why this light would have come on when the fluid level was ok ? 01 Z71 5.3

Level...Had plenty of coolant but the light come on

Probably your level sensor in the bottom of the tank that is going bad. I would not

worry to much as long as your level is right.

This is very common, the sensor/plug on the bottom of the tank will get dust in it or come loose, just blow it out or spry some contact cleaner in it, let dry and plug back in and go. if ths doesn't work the sensor could be bad
