Found Center Console..

Well I finally found a center floor console for my 04 Sierra 2500HD.

Now it will be comming with the factory sub, amb, and rear seat radio controls, here are my questions:

1) Are there any special tools I am going to need to remove the seats and install the center console??

2) My truck (reg Cab) has the standard Radio, can I make it work with the sub that the console comes with??

3) Assuming I can do (2), would I be able to remove the back seat controlls since I do not have a back seat, and wound rather not have them

4) If I cannot do (2), have anybody replaced the sub with a non factory style and still used the factory head unit??

5) How much should I be able to get for the fold down center seat??

6) Assuming (2) is out, I will be selling off the parts I cannot use, so what are they worth??

I have a regular cab and did that same swap along with leather seats.

1) to remove the seats you will need two female Torx sockets a # 18EP and a # 16

the 18EP is for the front bolts and the 16 is for the rear bolts.

2) The factory sub and amp will only work with the Bose radios, and the wiring harness is totally different. You could possibly add your own amp and a LOC (line output converter) but the factory sub is not worth the trouble. I added my own amp, LOC, and two subs behind the seats all with the factory Nav radio.

3) The factory fold down seats sell on Ebay for $200 and up.

4) the rear seat controls will pop out and a cubby hole pocket will snap in that spot. The pocket is $14 from the dealer.

5) Depending on the amp it could be worth $30-50 if it is a non-lux model and $130-150 for a lux model. The sub might bring $50 or so. The controls might bring in $20-30. I sold the sub, amp, controls, and harness as a package deal for $155, the amp was the non-lux model.

Regarding the bose. Yes, you need a bose HU. I have a brand new one out of my 04, CD and tape. Will work with your new amp/sub. Also you will have up to 6 channels of sound plus the sub.

Need to sell it after putting Navigation in. $200. OEM price is over $500.

Staff: I hope this is acceptable in the context. If not feel free to remove.

BBSilverado... Thanks for the info... I fugures that using the sub would not be an option since I do not have the bose system, I can sell the unused componets to offset the cost of the console.

masterp2... thanks for the offer, after I get the console I might change my mind, depending on how much extra stuff I will have to buy.

I was looking at my truck today, and was wondering what I am going to have to do where the new console meets the dash. I am assuming I will have to either mod the existing one ore buy the required lower dash trim pieces. Also do you have any photos of how your turned out??

Thanks!!

I just cut off the section of the lower panel to fit the console in, I orginally thought I would later get the proper lower panel but when it was all together it looked ok.

Here are some pics of the section I cut off and some with the console installed with my cut off panel.
