Remote Starting

Hey guys,

Traded in my 03 HD for a new 05 Duramax and am loving it. Problem is work is really early in the morning and I have a tendency to not wake up as early as I should. Is anyone using any remote starting kits on their duramaxes and might any of these kits void the warrenty? I also don't really want all of the alarm systems with the starter kits, just the remote start.

 

Any Ideas?

Better remote starts have the option for diesels. It turns on the power and won't start until the glowplug light goes out.

I have a Viper (Directed Electronics) Auto Start. Very handy up here in Alaska. I can see the value when I go back south too - Air Conditioner. Anyways - it is a two way system. Mine is gas - not diesel. However, I have several friends that have dieseld with remote starts and they work just fine. They are specifically designed to let the glow plug warm before trying to start.

Thank you guys. I am going to look into that Viper system. Maybe its just what I need.
