Crew Cab Under/Behind Rear Storage

Hi all,

 

I love my 2004 Silverado 1500 Crew Cab, but finding a decent rear seat storage solution is driving me nuts.

 

The best solution would be a custom molded under seat system, but that may not happen commercially because you can't fold & tumble.

 

Another solution would be behind the rear seat between the back of the cab. It is much more limited storage wise, but seems easier to build. I've seen a commercially available product (DUH?), but I can't swallow paying $200 for a plastic box.

 

If anyone has done anything custom out of wood or has project suggestions please chime in!!!
