well i just got myself a 2001 gmc sierra...which i love by the way. but i guess the previous owner drove through some wet paint or something, because on the passanger side there are some paint specs behind each tire. ovbiously this paint is very much dried on there, but how do i get it to come off? if anyone knows how i should go about doing this please let me know, its a great looking shiny black truck, but these few white paint spots are killin me. any help is appreciated!

Try using a clay bar. My mom drove through some of that road line paint one day, adn told me about it a couple weeks later (on her van, NOT my truck). I hit it with the clay and it came right off. It might take a little while since it has been on there for a while, but it should come off. The only thing I can't get off with the clay is some sort of tree sap that dripped onto my hood about a month ago, but I'm going to put some bug and tar remover on it and see if it'll come up. Good luck.

My brother-in-law hit a gallon can of red paint in his dark blue Chevy pickup. He took most of it off with an ice scraper! Yeah, I thought he was nuts too, and this confirmed it!!

If the truck was waxed before they hit the paint, it should come off fairly easily. Try picking at it with the edge of a credit card.

A clay bar with alot of lubricant should be able to remove the paint. I would try that before running a credit card on my paint.
