rear bumper

I was wondering if a rear bumper from a 2003 2500HD would fit on my 2003

Z71. I need another one and I know where I can get one off a wrecked pickup.

I would think it wouldn't, in its stock form. The fram rails are larger on the 2500 (aren't they?) and I bet the mounting brackets are designed for this, I wonder if the mounting brackets from you 1500 bumper would fit on the 2500 bumper then it would just be a bolt on job.

They are the same. I have switched both ways.

As far as part numbers go,the bar itself is the same number (only difference being weather its chrome or painted) but the brackets and braces are different part numbers from an "HD" to a non-"HD",and so is the upper step pads.

I think the last time we tried this in our body shop it wouldn't work without

changing the brakets and braces,but its been awhile.
