Hi mileage!

I work at a boat factory, and all we have for work vehicles are Chevy pickups. We have an 88 with over 300,000 on the original engine and transmission. Who says 700r4's dont hold up? Lots of short trips and idling, last winter they had to replace the shift cable, it literally wore in two. We also have a 2000 Chevy regular cab 3/4 ton, not sure which engine, but it has 350,000 miles and is on its second transmission but the original engine. This truck is used to pull boats to and from dealers, and virtually all the miles are miles with a trailer behind it. These trucks make the Ford guys turn green with envy, especially the dude that just had his 2005 F150 get beat by a Chevy with 350k miles on it. Of course the common factor with these trucks is plenty of maintenance - oil changes, transmission fluid changes, etc. So I have pretty high expectations for my 97 Suburban! She better see 200k anyway. :P:P:P

You should have no problem. I just traded in my 1998 Yukon with 275,000 miles on it, and still got a $4,000 trade-in. BTW, I bought a demo 2004 Yukon XL.

now these are the posts we need to see more often...too many "my truck is broke" and crap....you dont hear "my truck got me to work and back every day last year" and stuff like that.....and to add, my buddys dad has an '89 K1500 reg cab long bed, 235k+ miles, original 700r4 and TBI 350, still running strong....I only have 82k on my '98 and hope to drive my truck till it dies, then trade it in for a new Duramax
