Written by a proud owner of an 8.1 big block gasser – and for good reason, though. However, I think the buzzword is equivalent rather than better.

 

Flhfred – you just acquired one of the best combinations of motor and trans that’s currently available in an HD truck. Treat it good and it will perform for you for many more miles to come. At 46K miles it’s just about broken in. Enjoy it!

If I had to buy an auto it would be the allison, I can't think of any good excuses not to get one other than the price.
