I was going to wash and wax my truck saturday when I look at the door and the paint is starting to peel off.  And when I looked closer the rest of the red was showing discoloration, turning orange.  Now before anyone else gets worried about theres the side of my truck was repainted before so that's why I'm having problems.  So now I've got to take it back to chevy and have them repaint it again.

I don't know, I know that the passenger door skin was replaced, but the extended cab door was repainted.  I'ts starting to show up all over the repainted areas though and I figure that the "orange" spots now will soon be flaking off.  I'm calling Chevy later to see what they say and stopping by there after work.

Well they said that since they repainted it a year ago it and it's only on two of the panels that it looks like I drove through something or some chemical splashed upon it.  So, that bites, now I've got to report it to the insurance company and end up paying the 500 dollar deductible to get it fixed.  Well, looks like the lift kit is being set back even longer now.

Yeah, I know, I'm taking it in on monday the 24th and the guy said he'd need it 'till thursday.  But, I think before I'll take it in I'll get the measurements for the console, and take off some interior and engine parts and paint them while it's in the shop.  Also, I need to get my dash looked at the lights don't always work when I'm shifting.  So, if the need to replace that maybe I can just upgrade to a 3/4 ton w/ tranny guage and just pay the difference.  Crossing my fingers.

:)
