Bose sound system

:D I know this is stupid but I have to ask anyway

I have the bose system in my truck and it has the six speakers (I can find them) but then all of the pamphlets talk about a bose subwoofer. I can not find it anywhere. Even in the 2005 and '06 it distinctly seperates them. 6 speakers and bose subwoofer.

I asked the dealer and they went bugg eyed on me and had to do research. When they came back they stated with the cross-overs the door speakers act like a subwoofer. Sorry but when there is a distinction in how things are labeled I would think it would be a true 7 speaker system but I guess I am wrong. Has anyone ever found a "bose subwoofer" in their truck?!

i think its under the drink holder but more toward the front of the console - you have to pull the console to get to it.

Here is a good link on how to remove the console -

OMG no wonder this thing can't be heard and no one at the dealership knows about it. What is the size of it or can you point me to a link that I can replace these paper cones with some real speakers. ( I want to hear it when my exhaust is back on )

Its a 6.5 sub - I wouldn't mess with trying to replace the woofer in this unit - I'd just add a box behind or under the seat and go that route. I'm looking at going this route - adding an aftermarket sub and amp combo.

I wonder if my 04 LT crew cab has a subwoofer. It has the Bose system with 6 disk cd changer, XM. My wife's Burban sounds much better...her subwoofer is in back and you can see where it is. My truck doesn't sound anywhere close to her Burban.

I'd like to add another sub, but worried about taking up space behind my seat or under it. Any suggestions?
