will 16" wheels fit on my '05 K1500?

I saw some American Racing outlaw II's that I like, but they are a 16" diameter wheel. My truck came w/ the 17" wheels, and it looks like there isn't a lot of room in the front brakes. Does anyone know for sure if the 16" wheel will fit over the front calipers?

I don't think so,they put bigger calipers on the front of the 1/2 ton trucks for '05,thats why the 17" wheels now come as standard equipment.

Again I'm not sure,but I am sure that someone else on here has tried it and will let you know.

Thanks for the reply. I now remember reading an article about the bigger front brakes/calipers that made use of the 17" wheels manditory. In fact, I think there's a "groove" inside of the wheel that was necessary for clearence.

 

Rats! I really like the way the Out Law II's look, but they're not availble in a 17" size.
