hood interchanging between models

Does anybody know what years (if any) the chevy and gmc hoods will interchange? I'm specifically interested in 2002-2004 model years.

your hoods should interchange on the truck but you will end up changing headlamps and grilles to acomidate the new hood, if you look real close you will see the gmc is toataly diff. form the chevy and visa/versa also your cadilac hoods should swap out the same as well agin look at you fenders and grills, but ive seen it done

The hoods from a 99-2002 will swap out on a chevy. If you want the 2003-2004 chevy hood you have to change the fenders and grill. Basically the whole front clip is different. The cadillac hood, grill, and fenders are different too.

The GMC fenders are different as well.

 

There are these categories:

 

99-02 Chevy

03-05 Chevy

99-05 GMC (yeah the grille and bumper changed in 03 but not the fenders, hood and lights)

01-05 Cadillac

 

Hoods, grilles, lights and fenders are specific to each of those categories and will not interchange without changing the entire front.

 

You can swap HD hoods onto 1500s within the same category.
