I've seen aluminum spacers that are sweet, not sure 'bout the ones you're talking about ??

I am looking to use these on my new 2006 GMC Sierra Crew 1200LD to raise front 2 inches. The brand is Daystar and I am trying to find anyone who has had experience with them. Did you get any answers"

I had a 2" spring spacer lift on all four corners on my old Jeep, worked fine. They were a different brand, but shoudl all be pretty much the same. The Jeep kit came with longer shocks and bump stop extensions--must not be necessary on IFS?

I ordered the Daystar 2" spacers last week and should have them on this weekend. I'll let you guys know what I think of them and I'll take some pics. I can't wait to see it lifted because there are so many pickups like mine and they all look the same.

I can get pics of the spacers, but I haven't installed them yet. I'm also installing 2" blocks in the rear. It'll still slant but at least it will sit as tall as a Z71, hopefully. The instructions said it will lift the front 2.5". I'm hoping I can fit some 285-75s. I'll see if I have time this weekend.

I originally ordered the black ones, but they were backordered also so I got the red ones instead. I've read a couple things about that also with the control arms. The spacers themselves are only about an inch thick, so I don't think it'll be a problem.

Alright guys, we got the lift on this afternoon. It wasn't that bad at all. Took us about 3 hours and that was taking 2 on the first wheel. The spacers fit great. They are tight and seem to be made very well. I got exactly a 2" lift. Anything more and you'll need new upper control arms. They are very close to the negative travel limit. I'll have to see how it does from day to day. Hopefully it'll be okay. Other than that, the pickup looks so much better. It's perfectly level and it feels better sitting up when driving. The ride seems just fine. The shock is only stretched out about an inch so I don't think I'll need ones. I'm debating on whether to install my 2" blocks in the rear now. Anyway, on to the pics. Sorry for the darkness on the wheel wells, I'll have to get some better ones later. Now I need some 285-75s. :)

Thanks guys, I like the better stance of the pickup by far. I just finished installing my 2" rear blocks. Now the truck sits up much higher. Gonna be a why before new tires though, these have a lot of life on them.
