Avanti bed for Dodge trucks

Appearantly Avanti makes a stepside bed for Dodge trucks since Dodge is too dumb to make one of their own.

Check out the picture. Looks like a 88-98 Chevy stepside tailgate.

Yep,It is,We worked on one here in the body shop and needed parts for the tailgate.

Our body shop manager thought it was pretty neat of them to use a GM tailgate on a Dodge

Well at least one part of the truck wont fall apart...........

The "lines" or creases on the tailgate don't match up with the bed.

 

I guess what I am saying is that the bed has none, but the tailgate has some.

If you are going to design and manufacture a "quality" bed, why not do the same with a tailgate?? This will allow for a matching type tailgate handle too.

Shame on you. All the Avanti II's from 1966 to 2000 had GM V8's and GM transmissions with Raymond Lowey styling and a fiberglass body with no straight body lines.
