I've had enough

Ok, I've ridden in a few NBS chevy trucks other than mine, and none of them have lifter tick noise even close to mine. I've talked to a dealer about getting rid of the noise, and the guy behind the counter told me there was nothing I could do. I have about 98K miles on it right now, and at around 75K I had the injectors flushed, but that didn't do anything for the noise. My truck ticks so much that it sounds like a diesel inside the cab, and unless I have the radio up, I can hear the tick over my exhaust sometimes. It's enough to make me want to get rid of the truck. Is there anything I can do get rid of the noise or at least quiet the noise some? Someone had some ceramic valve covers that they bought awhile back, but they never said if it quieted the noise any. I use Mobil 1 10-30 synthetic oil. I know there is going to be some lifter tick with the way the engine was designed, but I've never heard anyone's truck tick like mine does. I know this has been beaten to death, and I've read every thread there is on the subject, but I wanted to hear it from a tech. Thanks.

If it's definitely lifters, replace 'em. You'll never muffle the noise with any sort of valve covers, I dont' care what they're made from. A lifter noise you can hear inside the truck is not normal for these engines.
