Code P0751 and no overdrive

I asked GM-Tech this also, hope its okay to post again here.

I have a 2000 GMC Sierra 4X4. I hauled a pretty heavy load of dirt the other day and drove below 50 mph in 3rd and with the tow haul switch on. Yesterday on my way home it would not shift into overdrive then the Service Engine light came on. So I pulled into Advanced Auto Parts and had them run the scan. It came back P0751 Shift Solenoid A CKT Performance or Stuck Off. About two months ago I changed the fluid and filter and accidently broke the solenoid on the passanger side on the back of the valve body so I replaced it with a part from Advanced Auto Parts. While I was under there I said to myself I ought to replace the other one too, but didnt.

I also think that maybe it wasnt going into first gear which its my understanding that the A solenoid has to be on to go into first and fourth.

My questions are: Is the Shift Solenoid A the one on the drivers side that I did not replace? Is this the problem or is it something else?

This is my first post here, looks like a great place. Thanks for any help ahead of time.
