Picture of my 76 C10

So I finally got a digital camera and took some pictures of my old truck. It is all stock (mostly original) save the rims and tires. I just put new ball joints and shocks on the front, it needs shocks on the back. For your viewing pleasure- The mountain dew mobile (it looks like an old style can of mountain dew to me). I am thinking of repainting next month-any opinions on color? Blue or a darker shade of green is what I am leaning towards right now....

Cool truck, I love those SB C10's

I had a 78 that I stuffed a 454 in along with many other mods.

What color is the interior?

I'm voting for a dark green.

There's a guy on here (Larry, I think) that has one that he painted a bright blue, and it's one of the nicest trucks on this forum.

Arrival Blue Metallic man, it's the color of the future. :chevy:

The interior color is saddle, It has the original dash and factory bucket seats in it. The dash is perfect :chevy: , but the seats (especially the drivers seat) have splits all over them. I have looked into getting them reupholstered..... Local shop wants $135 a seat. Just have to find the cash. I am leaning towards blue (Actually Indigo Blue, not familiar with Arrival Blue, HMMM) but my better half likes a darker green. I drive my old truck every day to work-4 miles and it still runs good, it was well taken care of all its years. The top half of the truck is really faded especially on the leading edge of the hood (it sat under a carport for years before I got it). Thanks for all the opinions guys, keep em coming...

This one Wingnut?

It was originally Colonial Yellow with a white strip and saddle interior. Somebody painted it blue and reupholstered the interior gray back in the early 90’s. The truck is an original rust free southwest truck but spend 5 years in Detroit on a career field trip with me. (never driven in the salt though) When I was living in Michigan a buddy and I repainted it a PPG base coat/clear coat 1998 Pontiac Quasar blue in 1999 (similar to Arrival blue). We gave it a heavy dose of clear coat for years of sanding and buffing tree scratches off.

Quasar blue is a really neat color as it is always changing and always looks clean. Look how much different the paint looks depending on angle and light. I highly recommend this color over Indigo any day. I hated my indigo blue Z71. Just couldn’t keep it clean. You wouldn’t know it from these pictures but it is full of tree limb scratches at the moment (time to sand and buff it again). Funny….I get a lot of compliments on this color but I almost painted it 1998 C/K Autumnwood back in 1999 but I didn’t want to mess with painting the interior so I find a blue that I liked and somewhat matched the interior door jambs and lower dash. Sometime in the next few months I will be adding a cab high SnugTop shell painted the same color with safari rack.

I can get you the paint WA number if you want it.

Yup, that's the one! You did a great job on that rig man.

It's probably my favorite truck that I've seen on this board. :)

Thanks Wingnut. That is a generous complement given all the nice rigs floating around here. Most trucks here are much newer as this site caters to the late model GM truck crowd. Not many into the old iron on this site.

Sorry guys, I'm not even a green freak but I've always liked that color, my uncle had a '76 Grand Prix that color, one of my favorites.
