torque management

I am sure you all know what I mean the trucks falling on their faces when shifting betwen gears due to the TM. Is there a way to kill this other than the wester's tune. I had an hpp3 on my 2004 and it did good for the shift points and rev limiter but the shift firmness wasn't improved much at all if any. Is there a fuse that can be yanked, a wire cut etc??

Well if it means anything to you, I had to manually back off the firmness of my Predator programmer in the Sierra.

 

Freaking thing would almost snap your neck it shifted so hard.

Other than a Custom Tune, I do know the current Predator Firmware allows for manual TM adjustments. Current Firmware only.

Frank--That's awesome. I plan to have a fried tranny when I trade mine in anyway. Where do i get the predator? is it a setup similar to that of the hypertech programmer?

I picked mine up off of ebay about a year ago, best price i could find. Just do a search for diablosport all together.

 

It's more expandable than the Hypertech is. You can manually adust paramaters such as idle, mixture, timing, and shift firmness along with increase/decrease shift points.

 

It's easily the best handheld I've ever had.

I have a Superchips programmer (soon to purchase westers instead) for my 00 2500 and with the shift pressure all the way up it will squeal the tires when it shifts from 1-2 most of the time. That seemed way to hard for me so I backed it off so it is just firm but not rock hard.
