g17jimmy Posted June 22, 2005 Posted June 22, 2005 When I'm shifting into 4low, I put the truck into neutral(4sp auto) and proceed to shift into 4low and there is a grinding presumably from the transfer case. Is this normal? Am I doing something wrong? What is the correct procedure to shift in and out of 4low? -jc
GM-Tech Posted June 23, 2005 Posted June 23, 2005 You can engage 4lo in neutral, below 3 mph. It shouldn't grind though you may get a fairly firm clunk.
