How do you clear DIC message - Change Oil Soon

Took my 04 Silverado Z71 in for my 7500 mile service and they did not clear the Change oil message.

 

IS there a way I can clear it myself.

Hi,

With ignition on and engine off, pump the gas pedal 3 times (fully) within about 3 seconds.

You will see the message center flash and possibly see a oil reset message.

(I think I just got a flash).

Key in the 'run' position with the engine off, floor the gas three times in five seconds. Oil Life Reset will display on DIC for ten seconds.

On my '05 with the steering wheels controls you can scroll to the oil life display, then hold down on the down arrow button(lower right) for several seconds and it will reset.
