I got my first DING in my door!

I've recently gotten a small ding as well in my rear passenger door - on the flat area...think it was from my five year old opening his door on my wifes Envoy a little too hard one day.

I was thinking of going by one of those paintless dent repair shops.

I have this tiny ding in my passenger door. Its not that noticable but I know its there. How can I get it out?

I got one on mine too, Not even a month old! I pulled the drivers door pannel and rubbed it out with the rounded plastic end of a screw driver. I was very carefule to only rub the dinged area and not too hard, just constant pressuer and back and forth very fast, working the metal back out. I saw a it done once before by a pro, and it's almost like art. they just work it and work it until it's gone. I probably spent 45 minutes on it, but it's gone.

Try it at your own risk!!!! I'm sure you could really screw it up if you used the wrong tool or were careless. If you've got the cash, the paintless repairshop would probably be the ticket!

Good luck!

Would dry ice work on it?

I've heard of people doing that for small hail dents. Might be worth a shot?

My pickup has a nasty ding behind the RR wheel. Prev owner said he thought it was a shopping cart. I'm leaving it for now. I know as soon as I fix it I'll probably get another one only bigger.
