Speedo Switch

I found a 130 MPH speedo in a 1999 Tahoe 2WD Z56 Police package. Part #16265075. I put it in my 1999 Surburban 4WD and found it did not work (no tach, PRND321, speedo and some lights on which shouldn't be). The Chevy parts guy said I could probably change the printed circuit overlay on the back with the one from the Surburban and get it to work. Will this work or are we looking at apples and oranges? Apparently, there is no 130 MPH speedo option even on the cop 4WD Surburbans (so says parts guy computer). I don't intend to use the higher end of the scale, I just like the uniqueness of the 130 MPH and the Certified on it. I used to drive a lot of retired cop cars in the past.

P.S. If this will not work at all, I will be selling the speedo and the computer from the Tahoe.

If I can remember where I saw it I will post, but it is a bunch of work to make the Police speedo work in a non-police package vehicle. I just went with an Escalade cluster... direct fit, no modifications at all, other than changing the odometer portion to retain the mileage. It reads to 120 MPH, not that it will ever see it!
