heater / ac flow controls gone wacky

I have an 04 burb with the standard climate controls. They are going wacky, when I dial the flow control (upper , floor, vent ete...) it only comes out the defrost and one side has heeat the other has cool. Problem is it only happens sometimes and I have to run it to the dealer to show them. Today it happened I ran it down showed it to the service manager . He said yea its not working but if its working when you bring it down they cant fix it. So im stuck with a $40000 truck with 5000 miles that might have ac might not. to bad.

I'd be on the phone to GM telling them that the dealer verified the problem but told you tough luck if it's not happening all the time.

 

Sounds like the service manager should be driving an 04 burb for a few days or weeks.

Oh no , its time to eat crow. Come to find out that when I installed my cell phone and hands free mike about 6 months ago I tagged a harness under the dash. My fight, I pay. Yes entire new dash had to come down at a cost of $486.00.
