dropping truck at dealer question.

I'm gonna have my truck at the dealer in the am. My rear window on the ext. cab door has popped off the latch again. I actually fixed it with super glue last time, but only lasted 2 months. Any body heard of this before? Fixes? The tuck is a 04 1500 ext cab 4x4 with the 5.3l. Also i have the driveline clunk when at a dead stop or coming to a dead stop. What would be a fix for this so I can suggest it to them? Also my steering wheel squeels when turning right sometimes. Any suggestions for this? Is my truck due for any other recall work? Thanks.

As for the window...if it is the quarter extended cab window, we usually just replace the window and frame assembly.....

 

The driveline clunk.....check and see if you have the aluminum drive shaft.....if so, not much they can do...There is a GM bulletin on this they can look up for you, and also one on the "noise" from the steering column...

I had several fixes for my driveline clunk issues. Those were greasing the splines, using/switching to the blue Autotrac II fluid, and replacing the slip yoke with the newer nickel plated one. No issues since the new yoke was put on a few years back.
