MOTHER OF GOD that's one hell of a truck.

I knew he was going to do some more mods to it, and I was kinda hoping he'd keep it looking more like a sleeper, but, it doesn't look as tricked out as I thought it would.

Last I knew, his best time was a 10.6 or something.

How can that engine take that kind of boost without blowing apart? 26lbs !!? That is a lot of pressure for a "normal" V8 isn't it?

Hes running a beefy 408 stroker. He just made another run pretty recently, 10.2@136.

Bad ass vid!

Quick inquiry for you guys.

I was considering putting an LS1 motor in my '97 once my factory 5.7L takes a dump on me(Long time from now). What all would I have to do to my truck to make it work? I was told by a mechanic that I would basically have to replace the entire drive train and computer system. He told me I would be better off just getting another crate 5.7L and tweaking it before install and it would produce Hp and Tq numbers to my liking. But me personally I just want to go "all out" from the start with a beefer motor.I was also considering a crate 8.1L,but I don't think it would fit in my engine compartment. He also said that if I wanted better numbers out of my motor now,to just find a computer chip from a late model Caddy and put in place of the factory chip. I think that is a line of BS but I may be wrong.

I'm sure he had to build the tranny and transfer case too, I don't think the stock 4l60e would hold up under 1000 ft lbs of torque! Sure would be a fun truck, make the dude in the SRT10 Dodge wish he wouldn't have spent the $50k!
