Intermediate Steering Shaft Replacement Procedure

Who knows what happened to the excellent picture-assisted procedure that used to be linked at the top of the pages? (was it in the announcement area?)

The only thing in the tech section currently is the lube procedure. There used to be a great replacement procedure.

It wouldn't be any different, you just don't put the same one back in! You shouldn't need a guide for that!

Tip: You may also have to remove the gas pedal assembly (3 small bolts, 8-9mm) in order to get the shaft out. I've done the replacement twice and I had to do it both times. If your truck uses a throttle cable rather than an electrical throttle body valve control system, you won't have to do it. Not sure about '01 hoes.

No need to pull the gas pedal on an 01 Tahoe as I've done the re-lube a couple times and have it down to about 10 minutes now.

Oh brother. I should have been able to see that. Thanks for wake-up.
