CD changer install

I'm in the process of putting in the TNR, CD-changer and DVD RSE and I've run into a problem: the console does not have the mounting features for fastening the CD changer nor does the rear bullet mount line up. Has anyone else had this problem?

I have an '05 Z71 Crew Cab and assumed that it would share console architecture with the T900's that use the separate CD changer but looks like I was wrong…Looks like I’ll be doing some part swapping.

Hey, I'm still working on this CDX install. The course of action appears to be that I'm going to have to cut the mounting bullet location out of the console and fabricate a bracket out of sheet metal as well as add two screw mounting holes to the front of the console structure.

The Navi went in with zero issues and I'll be installing a backup camera too. Some of my former co-workers are working on a way to run the backup camera through the '05 TNR so I'll let you know what I hear.

If you could, post a pic of your console when you start taking it apart. I'm curious to see if it has the same structure as mine. Thanks in advance.
