Confirmation that 285's will fit

Hi,

 

I have a 2002 GMC 1500 HD crew cab. I adjusted my Tbars to bring up the front end to be level with the back. Raised it about 2 1/2 inches. I just want to confirm that I will be able to fit a set of 285/75/R16's on it. I just wanted to post this to make sure that I understood the posts properly.

yes they will fit, Most people around here run them and they have no problems.

on stock rims yes... but if you have aftermarkets with some weird backspacing then you might get rubbate, but 99% of the time they'll fit.

Have them installed with the stock rims. Looks good and lots of room.

 

I really appreciate all the info on this board. Saved me the cost of a lift kit and it looks like a real truck now.

not trying to be a dick or anything, but you could have fit 305s with a little bit of minor trimming on the stock wheels

I fit those tires on my stock 2000 GMC Z71 with no crank on the stock wheels. No rubbing at all

Not be a dick or anything but 305's aren't any taller than 285's. Also they are a little too wide for the HD's 16 inch wheels.
