95 Sierra dash replacement

The dash assembly in my 95 sierra 2500 is cracked in several places, and I'm thinking about replacing it. Has anyone attempted this or have any experience with dash removal? Wondering what kind of nightmare I'm looking at. Thanks for any replies.
