Jack stand locations on 02 Yukon

Recommended Posts

I'm doing some brake work on my 2002 Yukon Denali and want to know where I should be placing my jack stands. I'm changing all four corners so I'll jack the entire front or rear at a time.

In front I go on the frame rail behind the front wheel just before it bends upwards.

In back, it depends what I'm doing. If it's a quick up and down, I'll use the bottom of the diff. If it will be in the air more than a minute or if I'm crawlng under it, I'll use the axle or the frame in front of the rear wheel depending on whether I want the rear suspension sprung or unsprung.

Your owners manual should tell you, otherwise, I myself use anywhere along the frame rail towards the front for the front. I've used the axle for the rear, depending on what I am doing under there. Haven't had a problem so far.... hope this helps somewhat anyway
