1500HDCC Posted October 22, 2005 Posted October 22, 2005 Just purchased a used 2002 GMC ext cab 4x4 and the brake pedal goes almost to the floor and has a weak feel to it. The truck will stop but am afraid it might not in a hurry, what do I need to check first?
GM-Tech Posted October 22, 2005 Posted October 22, 2005 Just purchased a used 2002 GMC ext cab 4x4 and the brake pedal goes almost to the floor and has a weak feel to it. The truck will stop but am afraid it might not in a hurry, what do I need to check first? Until recently, our truck brake pedals never had a great feel about them. It may be normal, but if you're want to check, I'd guess bleed the brakes, make sure there's no air in 'em. Replace the master cylinder... you could take it all apart but you probably won't see anything that would make you say, "oh yeah, here's the problem."
