Body lift

I have a 2002 Silverado 1500 4x4. I have already adjusted the torsion bars , but I am still not satisfied with the height. How tough was it to install a body lift? Any problems encountered with the body lift such as difficulty in adjusting the bumpers or extending existing lines etc.?

Thanks,

Jeff   :yingyang:

I don't have one myself, but probably will in the next couple months.

From what I've heard from guys that have done it, it's not hard, just a little time consuming.  The Performance Accessories 3 inch lift comes with brackets to raise the bumpers, just plan on a buddy or two to to give you a hand.  I've got a couple buddy's (and and some beer for afterwards   ) planned for mine.  From what I've seen of the instructions from the kit, it doesn't look very hard.  You just want to take your time and keep an eye on cables/lines/hoses.

Just had the Perf. Acc. 3" put on my 1999 ext. cab Z71 and love it.  Ten years ago I would have had the garage scattered with parts installing it myself but now at 41 I thought it was worth the $300 it cost to have a shop install it.  They know all the tricks and do them everyday.  Dropped it off in the morning and picked it up after work.  My free time is limited so I thought what the ####, have them do it for me.  Glad I did.  Out the door for $540.

WOW!  Sensitive forum.  I'm suprised using a word the opposite of "heaven" gets censored.  Need to watch my P's and Q's.
