are there new cab clearance lights on '06 models?

I saw a GMC Sierra K2500HD Long Bed Crew Cab Duramax/Allison on 93 N, North of Boston Saturday. It was an '06 model with temporary plates on it. What was interesting is that the cab clearance lights looked similar to the Ford and Dodge setup (meaning, no "all in one" design for the middle three). Is this a new change for '06 or was this custom work? It looked better IMO.
