Yukon/Tahoe gas mileage question ???

Be kind too me as this is my first post . I bought a 2005 GMC Yukon with the 5.3 and a 4.10 rear SFI. The sitcker was 15/19 mpg. Junst wondering what have others experienced with gas mileage city vs. highway. I am getting 14 city and 18 highway. Does the mpg. increase as the SUV gets broken in? Trailering a 600# ATV and a 900# trailer, I'm getting 13.5 mpg. Thanks in advance for the posts.

Welcome, I wuld say you are par for the course. The MPG will increase a bit as the motor breaks in. Right now its tight (more friction). you should get a few more MPG.

yup....it will get better as it loosens up but the 4.10's would hold you down some. Our 2WD '04 Yukon gets 19-20 hwy depending on speeds.
