Ext cab door latch

2000 GMC Sierra 4x4 Ext cab...the driver side ext cab door is still loose when i shut it...it latches but if you grab it and shake the door it is still loose...i have to pretty much slam the door very hard (which i imagine is not good) to get the door to latch and stay tight...any ideas???

Same vehicle, same problem here - on both sides.

I've found that if you hold on to the door when closing, rather than letting it "bounce", it will latch both top and bottom.

One of these days, i'll probably play with the latch adjustments, but I find that just closing it without letting it go works for me.

Same problem on passenger side for me, I really get tired of slamming it too. I would adjust the catchs out so that it doesn't take so much effort, but in doing that the door doesn't seal as tight which could lead to more wind noise, or water leaks. As time ges on the more I wish my truck was just a regular cab.
