Dang Stupid Truck...Wants to go for a long trip...

Truck gets cranky and won't start if I take it for a short drive. I'm now relegated to using the truck for long hauls, anything 25 miles or longer. I warm it up for the usual 15 minutes before I put the vehicle into Drive.

 

If I go for shorter drives, when I shut it down, go to do my usual tasks, and then come back to the vehicle to restart it, the cranky vehicle decides it's not going to start again and it becomes a real pain in the patootie to get it to start. I'm thinking vapour lock or ignition problem. I've replaced the starter and fuel pump before this problem decided to rear its head.

 

Anybody know what might be wrong with this stupid truck, other than the fact that it might be bored and wants to go for a long drive?

Is it hard only when warm or cool? If only when warm look at the fuel pressure regulator. Lately that has been my cure all fix...

Hard to tell, because, I've let it warm up for about 15-20 minutes now in order to get the vehicle warmed. I haven't gone short distances with it to try the ignition out when it's only luke-warm and not really warm (when I've travelled a fair distance).
